Sam Milkman
Sam Milkman joined Music Forecasting as executive vice president in 2005. Over the past 15 years, Sam held a variety of programming and operational positions at radio stations in New York and Philadelphia, including operations director of WXRK ("K-Rock") New York, research director of WHTZ ("Z100"), New York and program director of WMMR Philadelphia.
He began his career as a litigation, intellectual property and entertainment attorney at the Philadelphia law firm of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School.
Jon Coleman
Jon Coleman, co-founder of Music Forecasting, has spent his life’s work developing industry-leading research methods to provide deeper insights to the radio and music industries. With a focus on music, trends and branding, Jon is recognized as one of the preeminent researchers and strategists in the music and radio industries.
In addition to Music Forecasting, Jon has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of radio research firm, Coleman Insights, since founding the firm in 1978. Under Jon’s leadership, Coleman has grown to become the leader in its field. Through much of the 80s, Jon also served as a vice president for Capitol Broadcasting Company, overseeing the company’s radio stations in eight markets.
Prior to forming Coleman and leading Capitol's radio group, Jon held various positions with TM Programming in Dallas, Frank N. Magid Associates in Marion, Iowa and The Media Associates in Dallas. His educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Oregon.
Jeff Moskow
Jeff Moskow joins Music Forecasting after more than 25 years in the music industry.
Starting in the music retail and one stop community, Moskow served for nearly 20 years with PolyGram Group Distribution, and later the Universal Music Group.
He held roles in sales and branch management, as well as regional sales. He furthered his label experience with a senior A&R and marketing role and, most recently, as head of marketing for UMG's catalog arm, Universal Music Enterprises.
Moskow still serves as head of A&R for the NOW! series of compilations.
He and his family reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Kelly Ellis
Kelly Ellis, Senior Research Analyst, has managed media research projects for Music Forecasting since 2007 and held a similar position at Coleman Insights since 2004, leading a variety of domestic and international research projects for major media, entertainment and music industry clients.
Previously, Kelly held a number of marketing roles, including a position at Hi Frequency Marketing, an entertainment marketing firm, promoting such artists as Norah Jones, Avril Lavigne and Jimmy Eat World. She also had the honor of working for the prestigious Peabody Awards in 2003 and 2004.
Kelly holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in Journalism & Mass Communication and dual Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated with Highest Honors and Distinction and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
